Dennis needs surgery on Tonsils!

Dennis has been having so many problems with his Tonsils. He has been to his regular Pediatrition, whom wrote him a referral to his ENT specialist, he went and had a sleep study done to make sure his tonsils were not blocking his airway when he slept.
Well, now that he is sick, the weather is changing, his right tonsil is swollen all the way to his hang me down thing( which is making him gag everytime he opens his mouth), so back to the Ped. yesterday for another referral.
I know that his ENT wanted to keep his tonsils in as long as he could, and did testing to make sure about blocking his airway, but did not plan on him getting sick I guess.
Both tonsils have been swollen so bad in about the past year, and when he gets sinus problems, cold, or whatever, he can't sleep, due to them being swollen.
Hopefully they will just go ahead and take them out, he is suffering so with those things. I know that many people live without their tonsils, and it looks as though he will have to also. Will update when they make the date for surgery.
